Binnen nu en een jaar gaat 67% van de jonge professionals in loondienst op zoek naar een andere baan. 80% hiervan verwacht een dergelijke kans buiten de huidige organisatie te vinden. Reden om te vertrekken is de behoefte aan meer werkgeluk dan zij in hun huidige baan ervaren.

Young Professional Onderzoek

Dit blijkt uit het jaarlijkse Young Professional Onderzoek in opdracht van 4YoungPeople, het non-profit initiatief van ICM Opleidingen & trainingen en Careerwise.nl. Dit jaar vulden ruim dertienhonderd jonge hoogopgeleiden tussen de twintig en vijfendertig jaar het onderzoek in.

Werkbehoeften

Uit het onderzoek blijkt dat jonge professionals een sterke behoefte hebben aan authenticiteit, zelfontwikkeling en verbondenheid aan de organisatie. Hierbij is het verlangen om authentiek te kunnen zijn het belangrijkst.

Werkgeluk

Jonge professionals in loondienst 95% ervaren echter onvoldoende dat ze zichzelf kunnen en mogen zijn in hun werk, ze vinden dat er te weinig ruimte en aandacht is voor zelfontwikkeling en ze ervaren weinig verbondenheid met de visie van de organisatie. Dit is de reden dat zij zichzelf een magere 6 geven als het gaat om de mate van waarin ze gelukkig zijn in hun huidige werk. Jonge ondernemers zijn een stuk gelukkiger met hun werk: zij geven zichzelf een ruime 8 als het gaat om hun werkgeluk.
